The Industrial chic collection- line of garments takes us on a trip into the industrial universe where aesthetics merge with mechanical beauty. The industrial universe is no longer seen as a set of production processes, but rather as an architectural setting with its straight lines, its curves and geometrical lines.
Annabelle Fleury draws her inspiration from the different elements present in factories, ranging from simple piping to gigantic turbines, as well as from their shapes, which she enjoys observing and recreating.
Annabelle Fleury borrows from the protruding lines of industrial machines, wide cuts and oversized volume. The closet is filled with large butterfly sleeves, cowl necks, drapes with ample volume, trapeze-cut capes that recall the massive structure of industrial machines.
Annabelle Fleury adopts for the dresses, an assembly of symmetrical and regular shapes to recall the regularity of the mechanization of industrial machines. Thus, the patterns of a guipure are placed symmetrically on the garment in order to evoke the uniformity of industrial machines.
The complexity of the industrial piping, a visual labyrinth of conduits, inspires the designer. These arrangements are functional but also result from a mechanical beauty. To recall the combination between the functional and the aesthetic, Annabelle Fleury imagines clothes enhanced by a play of refined guipure where the guipure is both aesthetic but also functional. Thus, the stylist adopts on the dresses a guipure that sublimates the outfit but which at the same time is placed in such a way as to maintain the drapes.
This collection is an ode to the industrial world and the beauty of machines, these masterpieces with an extra touch of soul, which are endless sources of inspiration.
