The garments of the Talipot collection take us in an incredible trip in the land of trees.
For this collection, Annabelle Fleury draws her inspiration from the structure of trees. A tree has a complex structure, its branches creating an infinite network when subdividing. The collection is scattered with interwoven patterns, recalling the branches’ ramification. The outfits of the collection are adorned with entanglements of straps. Annabelle Fleury designs a geometrical line through the juxtaposition and overlapping of strips of fabrics combined to different shades of green.
The structure of trees’ leaves also inspire the designer. She observes and draws not only from the form of leaves, but also from the structure of their veins. Annabelle Fleury chooses, for her dresses, an assembly of shapes in a curved line, recalling the various shapes of leaves: oval, rounded, elliptical or spatulate. The different yokes are enhanced through the use of wide black strips sewn on the outfits to recall the veins of leaves.
Annabelle Fleury draws inspiration from leaves’ architecture, especially their outline and sides. The designer designs a fluid line through the use of refined cuts. The flowing contours of the wraps create winding lines, recalling the shapes of leaves.
This collection is in shades of green, as a tribute to forests. The colours of the outfits consist of opaline green, emerald green or British racing green.
This collection is an ode to the beauty of trees, treasures of the flora, which are timeless and endless sources of inspiration.
