Annabelle Fleury is a fashion and textile designer who graduated from the École de Condé in Paris. In 2008, she joined the prestigious team of Malhia Kent in Paris where she created high-end textile designs for Chanel, Valentino, Paco Rabanne, Versace and Ungaro.
At the end of her studies, she did her first fashion show at the Espace Pierre Cardin in the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
Back in Mauritius, she created Oriya in 2009, a tailor-made clothing brand for women. The designer chose the name Oriya for her brand as a tribute to her passion for all that is Indian. Oriya, which is an Indo-European language, is also the name of a sari worn by women in Orissa in India. Moreover, her first collection is named the «Benares collection» as a tribute to Indian culture.
A truly contemporary designer, she is above all concerned with the identity of the modern woman.
Her inspiration is diverse. She allows herself to be impregnated by her passions but also by different universes and atmospheres. For Annabelle Fleury, inspiration is an inexhaustible source where everything is subject to creation.
